Intern Doctors

Since 2005, Lidkea Optometry has been honoured to serve as a clinical teaching site for the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. Hosting intern doctors is a meaningful part of our commitment to the future of eye care and to the profession we love.

Each year, talented optometry students join our team to apply their classroom learning in a real-world clinical setting. Under the supervision of our doctors, they participate in patient care, refine their clinical skills, and experience the full scope of community-based optometric practice.

We are continually impressed by the curiosity, compassion, and professionalism these future optometrists bring to our clinic. Their fresh perspectives and energy help us stay current, ask new questions, and keep raising the bar for the care we provide.

To all of the interns who have trained with us over the years: thank you. You have helped shape our clinic, enriched the care we deliver, and reminded us why mentorship and teaching matter so deeply in healthcare.
